Local members – both new and long-standing – turned out at Ilkley Station on Saturday, giving their time and energy to distribute Green surveys and chat with residents on their doorsteps. These conversations are all about listening and learning: understanding what really matters to people in Ilkley and how the Greens can best support their priorities.

If the Green Party’s national ambition is to become the leading force in Parliament, that journey has to start somewhere – why not RIGHT NOW  in ILKLEY !!

Success nationally depends on being seen to visible, trusted, and genuinely in tune with every person at the local grassroots level.

As the saying goes, the proof is in the pudding.

Green Members always out in all types of weather!!

Whether today’s issues are about river pollution, the re-nationalisation of UK industries – including Yorkshire Water, or the actual effectiveness of speed restrictions to our local roads, we need to know. There is a wide diversity of local views that deserves to be heard – good or bad.

Effective change in political practice throughout the UK has to start somewhere. Why not begin here Ilkley?
