On April 29 2026 a new initiative was launched with the intention to deliver a pathway eradicating the increasing threat to world peace and our Planet’s survival in an increasing hostile, dangerous and divided world.
Sir David Attenborough launched his latest documentary “Timelapse to the Future of Earth” which clearly identified the key game-changing events that have shaped Planet Earth over more than four billion years (link to full documentary is shown below).
Past catastrophes, while devastating, never succeeded in eliminating life entirely. In fact, the last great extinction event, although disastrous for dinosaurs, accelerated the rapid rise of intelligent life on our planet and, indirectly, created a completely new and unique threat.
Previous turning points were driven by various forces including: chemistry, planetary formation, gravity, and other random cosmic issues, usually unfolding over immense timescales. This article argues that the next great Game Changer could be fundamentally different and very close.
The new Planet Earth Paradox implies the greatest threat to intelligent life on Planet Earth is no longer external – Rocks or Aliens – the real threat comes directly from actual human behaviour itself, specifically our total inability to govern ourselves wisely.

He argues, ceteris paribus, under current global practice, call it Plan A, the future of eight billion people can never be decided by its own collective and combined freewill. Instead, it will be forced to continue to be determined by the decisions made by as few as just eight individuals. The final destruction of intelligent life on the planet could even be determined by a single individual, if that person leads a rogue state which fully controls its country’s nuclear capability, or any future advanced technology or virus threat.
The author claims the current turmoil of proxy wars, geopolitical rivalry, and the potential of a World War III risk shows that our present system (Plan A), unless somehow checked, will inevitably fail.
It therefore seems prudent for Planet Earth leaders to establish and make ready a robust alternative Plan B. But, where is it?
When was it created, evaluated, retested, and updated?
Despite a potentially devastating outcome, the writer still maintains we have not yet reached the crucial tipping point making the next Game Changing event inevitable.

Engaging all aspects modern technology, can re-energised the United Nations including the delivery of secure smartphone voting systems and successfully elevate existing Middle Power members influence to exercise its potential new power to moderate/curb the true cause of the planet’s ongoing fragmentation – that is the current excessive power now being openly exerted by all-powerful corrupt superpowers.
Several influential 2026 global figures from politics, finance, technology, and public life will need to create a workable and acceptable Plan B. Individual or collective actions will significantly shape humanity’s future destiny, either for the good or bad. They must be chosen wisely.
So, what would an effective Plan B within the UN contain? Three top actions will include:

- Correct application of appropriate technology, with overall planetary governance whose decisions are determined by the collective will of 2/3rds of the UN’s current 193 members.
