Silver Bullet driven into the very heart of the latest G7 Forum – Biaritz April 30 2026

Five world leaders just walked out of the latest G7 summit. Not over trade policy, climate disagreements, defence spending, currency manipulation, or any of the disputes that have defined these meetings for 51 years.

They walked out because the President of the United States had informed them that he had physically barred the Prime Minister of Canada from entering the working session on global economic coordination and any nation that objected was free to leave.

The exclusion initially caused by a bilateral dispute between the United States and Canada had become a unilateral assertion of American authority over the very institution itself.

Trump had not just overruled Canada. He had overruled the authority of every other leader who disagreed. He had asked for permission, was denied, and then did it anyway.

Every leader in that room clearly understood what that meant for the value of their own voice, their own vote and their own sovereignty within the institution.

All five members immediately took up the offer and left the room, one by one as follows.

  • Macron – France’s President stood first, made statement about sovereignty principles (31 words).
  • Friedrich Merz – Germany’s Chancellor
  • Sanae Takaichi – Japan’s Prime Minister
  • Giorgia Meloni – Italy’s Prime Minister
  • Keir Starmer – United Kingdom’s Prime Minister

The most exclusive leadership forum on Earth – seven nations representing more than half the world’s economic output, meeting continuously since 1975 – emptied in under four minutes.

Donald Trump sat alone at a circular table designed for seven. Six empty chairs around him in a geometry built to represent equality, now representing isolation.
Six flags displayed behind six absent leaders.

The five leaders then convened quickly in the hallway area, to initiate an emergency reconstruction of the forum. The United States will not be invited. The empty table means this was not simply just a summit disruption it marks the final end of American-led western democracy.

This is an historic rupture.
