The content of this blog has been inspired by the life, work and commitment of Sir David Attenborough. Posted May 9 2026.
His continued work has been the catalyst to inspire millions of us to ‘think out side the box’ and try to deliver unstoppable momentum to support his life’s work of discovering every aspect of the planet’s natural world. With everyone on board, following his direction, we can begin to re-create not just a Perfect Planet but help build a robust and powerful Solar System that completely surpass the gains since WW2 and operate way beyond our current wildest dreams!
What does humanity really want – who chooses?
Respected and fully Restored Irreversibly Ruptured
Planet Earth Planet Earth

First, we must agree on who actually owns Planet Earth.
Second, fully understand why this issue is so important to our species.
Mankind has tried for more than 2,000 years, to develop a fair and workable
Planet Earth Governance System.
To date, even within our ‘civilised world period’ we have spectacularly failed.
No solution is anywhere in sight.
Resolving current planet ownership issues (especially territory, minerals, energy and power) is the fundamental root cause of the challenges we are face that, if remaining unanswered will have devastating consequences.
Creating comprehensive Planet Earth Governance Plan ‘fit for purpose’ for the 21st Century is way overdue. No agreed and respected guideline for every living person to willingly follow is totally unacceptable.
To formulate, debate, agreed to one and finally start to implement such a vision, is a massive tall order right now in 2026. Realistically, it will take a period of at least 75 years without major conflicts (to the year 2100) to allow
- important time factor adjustments to take effect
- new technologies being introduced – especially space exploration
- constant progress and regular updates delivering
- continuous proof that we still clearly on track
Ideally, any agreed ‘global’ Charter needs to become an ‘absolute reality’ for at least 70 out of 100 of all the planets population. When over twice as many people obtaining positive change compared to those not wishing it, harmony can much more easily become the norm.
For democracies, the first past the post format at election times will cease to apply – including 51% vs 49% outcomes. This will no longer be a decisive issue facing incoming parliaments. Everyone on planet earth needs to become totally committed to believing that only through a successfully functioning interplanetary solar system we can achieve consensus and not the perpetual ongoing division we have today.
Only through successful space exploration, which releases unlimited resources with humanity working together, will we ultimately resolve our current scarcity issues. This will turn the worldwide pessimism and hopelessness for billions, into the belief that provable tangible abundant results are possible. Everyone then becoming a winner, but only if these new resources can be shared equally!!
Century 21 could be mankind’s next game changer, but does such a comprehensive solar system plan even exist?
Corrupt politicians, 3 dominant superpowers, new technologies have all combined with decisions made by earlier corporations (specifically the oil sector) and the recent rise of Big Tech giants making such an important shared public piece of information very unlikely.
Collectively, the above group have destroyed any chance of that. Instead they have effectively wiped-out almost all every significant UN gain achieved that has been achieved, since 1945. Resolving this situation and revitalising the UN is vital. Answers as to how might be achieved, very much focuses on the views of every individual reader.
Sir David Attenborough’s recent Timelapse to the Future of Earth documentary, released in April 2026 (link at end of article), clearly identified the previous 5 game-changing events that shaped Planet Earth over the last four plus billion years. He maintains life on earth always continued despite these disasters. Is the next potential game changer now too close to call? Attenborough’s continued role on this issue might be vital for our planet’s ultimate success.
So, how bad are things right now? Check out this podcast example from a business guru (May 2026).
Warren Buffett at UN – Trump rebuttal – note controls by the media giants can make some initial links later inaccessible.
Superpowers will always be unwilling to relinquish any of their existing powers and will fight hard to retain it. Recent USA tactics to bully Canada, combined with its war with Iran, has significantly damaged their global international prestige, likewise with Russia’s war in Ukraine. Colossal change opportunities now exist.
Can a group of ‘Middle Power’ UN members with EU support, step up to replace a vacuum that currently exists, heralding a new ethos of global leadership practice?
The 21st Century will be mankind’s next big game changer. Are any of today’s world leaders collectively working to invest in a new game plan or even start to create and sell one?
Here is one vision which might give our leaders a kick start.
Proposed Planet Earth Charter for 21st Century (2000 – 2099)

One Planet.
One Shared Responsibility.
One Future for Humanity.
Ten Global Rules – Providing Steer for Next 75 years
🌍 1. Sovereign Nations
Every country remains free to choose its own governance and cultural path. No sovereignty interference.

📱 2. UN Re-Energised to focus on the development of One Planet, One Nation Thinking
The top leader of the United Nations chosen ‘Vatican style’ – 193 inputs helped by smartphone processes.
🌱 3. Planetary Responsibility
Major global decisions by individual countries must consider its long-term impact on Earth – UN monitored
🏗 4. Global Infrastructure
International cooperation to build major global projects to benefit ALL humanity – UN Monitored.
📊 5. Transparent Contribution
Countries and corporations get ranked for contributions made to planetary wellbeing across the whole planet – UN Published
🚀 6. Solar System Governance
Space resources treated as a shared heritage, belonging equally to each and every human inhabitant.
💡 7. Innovation for Humanity
Private innovation ideas positively encouraged and funded when it’s clearly shown to contribute to global progress.
🤖 8. Technology with Responsibility
Global legal frameworks for AI, robotics, and future Universal Basic Income schemes are rigorously debated and voted on by the UN.
🏥 9. Universal Foundations
Global standards for healthcare, education, transportation, and equal human opportunity firmly established across the planet.
⚖ 10. Justice and Collective Security
UN Legislation will empower Courts system to resolve any disputes between each member country or any conflicts between international private companies.
Moratorium – for the next 10 years all nuclear weapons are collectively stored in one location – South Pole. UN fully monitored.
Superpowers remain able to monitor and maintain their nuclear systems, while being able to inspect and monitor others.
This will release finance and human capital towards greater economic activity in tackling the climate crisis.
Resolving current ownership issues on planet earth’s limited resources is impossible for the foreseeable future. Trying to do so is a total waste of time. We can only finally resolve the planet’s scarcity issues by actually becoming space travelers, at least within the solar system.
Amazingly we still have the potential to decide who actually owns the assets or any other resources that currently exist outside planet earth, but within the Solar System.
Space resources must be treated as a shared heritage, belonging equally to each and every human inhabitant.
Agreeing this single global decision will change everything. It is the most critical issue our planet needs to focus on RIGHT NOW.
We can encourage as many space rocket manufactures as we currently have with car manufactures right now. China has taken the lead on EV’s and Solar at the moment. Competition is in the human DNA.
It is a good thing if it can be properly and fairly controlled.
We can also engage thousands of private mining operations outside planet earth, just as many we have currently operating within the planet. We can create millions of competitive space freight haulers, just like we have on our roads and seas right now.
Every asset either mined or collected from other planets or asteroids and returned to earth, can become initially UN property before being sold across the planet in a fair and measured process.
The UN could even offer licences or contracts to existing or potential new rocket manufacturers and mining operations in co-ordinated and systematic way – not ad hoc or through privileges which, if allowed to be the norm will only divide wealth and power sharing even more than it is right now.
Only goods deemed essential for planet earth’s requirements will be allowed to get landed – simple to monitor. Private bodies can only bring back goods to the planet that have been authorised. They will only get paid for goods – raw materials or finished goods (if assembled outside planet earth to limit pollution) that have been contracted to deliver, at a price agreed to in accepting the contract.
Just like any trucker shifting car parts, grain or other commodities. The shipper gets paid for the shipping and mining processes when the goods are finally delivered. They never actually own the goods themselves.
The UN may also offer funding to help new start-ups or universities to develop rocket technology or finance exploration costs into new space regions. This is already happens – USA funding Musk – Space X and probably Bezos, Systems are already operational in other countries including including EU and China.
The UN will be able to use AI to correctly estimate planet earth’s current and future global needs. They will confirm where spaceships land, and distribute cargo across the planet using existing commercial processes. NO drastic change needed to current global practice.
‘Business as Usual’ – at Country Level
Each individual country will continue to apply its own current taxation systems to create the operational income it currently requires – charging commercial sellers taxes based on profits and final buyers in shops through a traditional VAT routes.
The UN will apply some of its revenue streams from commercial sales on the planet to pay space freighter’s costs and, more importantly, to properly fund major global initiates in a collective coordinated way. These will become essential for massive global investment projects:
- planet regeneration schemes,
- funding the development of a continent based global hyperloop system
- co-ordinate the establishment of every new mega cities that will be needed to sensibly manage future global migration requirements (an certainty now).
If these big issues remain unresolved, due to current weak UN operational power, this will certainly help accelerate humanity towards an ‘irreversibly ruptured’ outcome.
The problems are clear. Creating a re-energised UN and delivering a workable bold plan is the only practical answer, right here, right now. So what’s stopping us. Why are there so many obstacles?
Where does the real power lie?
- Corrupt powerful politicians
- Current status of the top 3 major Superpowers
- Decisions taken after WW2 by major corporations (especially the oil sector)
- Recent rise of the big tech giants
The above factors combined with the advance of technology has already helped orchestrate the wipe-out almost every initial UN gain since 1945.
Who should make these critical decisions? Should it be:
• Decision’s taken by a selected few individuals (unelected) based on individual power, wealth and privilege?
• Collective agreements decided by the whole planet starting to finally ‘sing from the same hymn sheet’?
Sir David Attenborough’s recent Timelapse to the Future of Earth documentary, released April 2026, clearly identified the previous 5 game-changing events that shaped Planet Earth to where it is now over the last four + billion years.
Does he feel Planet Earth’s next 6th Game Changer is now too close to call?
Actually, how bad are things right now – is it overhyped? Check out a recent BBC podcast (May 2026) to help better assess the dilemma right now.
BBC Assessment of the Davos meeting in January 2026
Today, despite some very grim realities, genuine optimism still exists and is growing at a rapid pace.
Superpowers unwilling to relinquish any of their existing power will and fight hard to retain it. USA tactics of first bullying Canada and then combining this with a war against Iran has had profound unforeseen outcomes, not the least being the very serious financial consequences to the USA country and its own people. Bigger than this though are the resulting financial and humanitarian consequences now acute across the whole planet.
Globally, this has resulted in an important switch of presumed and assumed invincibility of superpower status. This includes a significant loss of their formally unquestioned international prestige and authority. Russia’s war in Ukraine has clearly shown they are far from invincible either.
Thinking the Unthinkable – Middle Powers have finally Woken Up.
It is increasing likely, that a group of ‘Middle Power’ UN members, or even the EU on its own, could step up and replace the current power vacuum. Both organisations working together however could be the next power brokers if they act swiftly before the existing players have time to regroup.
The new weapon they possess – control of critical scarce resources – is a ‘chance’ event that’s recently developed as mankind develop new technologies, fortuitously as the very same time that current oil and gas stranglehold of two superpowers start to diminish. This opportunity is rapidly gaining traction.
Country’s, who are now being constantly threatened on sovereignty issues (by who?) are now more confidently beginning to demand a much fairer democratic process.
Mark Carney and Ursula von der Leyen, working with countries like Australia, India and Japan can collectively enforce their own ‘Game Changing’ rules. This includes signing new trading partnerships, developing new non-dollar payments systems or imposing their own tariffs against threatening superpowers. This tactic can surprisingly work both ways – for good and bad!!
A reborn UN, that’s re-energised with collective and sufficient power can deliver positive change to the rest of Century and beyond, not just securing yet another 75 years of perpetual turmoil.
This document was not penned by some rich, influential or powerful person, just a very ordinary person who is 100% focused on saving our precious planet.
Planet Earth’s next Game Changer can be an astoundingly positive one – not only accelerating the return towards a pristine Planet Earth, but building an amazing and successful Solar System in the process.
Heroes like Sir David Attenborough would probably endorse many of the above ideas, if they ever get the opportunity to review and endorse.
Sir David’s first centenarian task – acting as a potential World Leader – who is better qualified – would be to ensure two key things: implementation of such a charter and keeping its direction on track.
If any of these ideas resonate with you, please forward this blog to any potential friends/contacts who may be able to help these ideas develop.
An eBook copy (first edition) with further information needs to become available to readers in each country of the United Nations – 193 countries in total ASAP (Chat GBT?).
A possible gift by Xmas 2026 would be an amazing outcome. All revenues would be fully re-invested in the project. Members would be only be private individuals ensuring decisions always remain democratic – no political or commercial strangle holds.
Alternatively, forwarding this blog to a group of social media experts who can facilitate further global potential, would be ideal if it helps its progress much faster.
Please email if you feel you might be able to help but need more information from me first.

Giving Sir David Attenborough, Mark Carney, Ursula von der Leyen (and others) an opportunity to focus on this type of thinking would be massive first start!
